Editorial Photography | Radford Amazonian Research Expedition
Some stories just have to be told and in 2015 I created the opportunity to document a Radford University undergraduate research trip to Peru. In addition to documenting the research in photos and videos, I had the privilege of serving as a multimedia advisor to the students on the trip and really got to be a part of the team. The photos and videos were used widely in university communications and marketing materials.
The Radford Amazonian Research Expedition (RARE) provided undergraduate students at Radford University with a unique opportunity to conduct original biological research at the remote Las Piedras Biodiversity Station in Peru. The team of 13 students spent several weeks in the rainforest executing their independent research, exploring the forest, learning from local guides, and studying under two expert RU faculty members.
The gallery is a short photo essay produced from the trip.
